Machu Picchu Full day

One day visit to one of the wonders of the world, Machu Picchu.

The beautiful Machu Picchu Inca citadel was built in the fifteenth century by Inca Pachacutec, this impressive archaeological monument was considered a Royal hacienda destined to the cult of the Gods and a challenge to the ruling skills builders.

Built as a refuge for the elite of the Inca aristocracy, is considered one of the seven wonders of the world since 2007 and is located at 2430 meters altitude in the Urubamba river valley. Visiting this place is for you an unforgettable experience ever imagined.

Every day from 5:00 am. to 10:00 pm.

  • 05:00 a.m. Transfer from your hotel in Cusco to train station of Ollantaytambo / Poroy
  • 07:00 a.m. Tourist train to Machu Picchu village (Aguas Calientes)
  • 10:30 a.m. Tour Machu Picchu Inca City

You can adjust your train schedule to arrive in Cusco earlier (depending on train availability), depending on the activities you choose, with prior coordination.

Itinerary

Day 1 | Machu Picchu

Transport to Ollantaytambo − Machu Picchu Guided Tour

Your day starts early with a pick-up from your hotel (or other agreed location) in Cusco by our friendly and professional driver. Ensure you have your essentials packed, including your passport, tickets, water, snacks, and a light jacket for the early morning chill.

Enjoy a comfortable and scenic drive to Ollantaytambo train station, which takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. On the way, you’ll pass through the stunning Sacred Valley, with its picturesque villages, rolling hills, and farmlands.

Board the Expedition Train at Ollantaytambo for a scenic journey to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town). The train ride offers spectacular views of the Urubamba River and the surrounding Andes Mountains. Relax and enjoy the comfort of the train while you sip on a complimentary hot beverage and snack. You'll meet your guide and prepare for the short bus ride up (25 minutes) to the Machu Picchu site.

After rigorous check the admission booth, begins our unique experience in life, we are facing this amazing world heritage monument.
Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, embark on a 2-hour guided tour of this ancient Incan citadel. Your expert guide will share the fascinating history, significance, and mysteries of Machu Picchu, exploring key areas like the Sun Temple, the Room of the Three Windows, and the Intihuatana stone. This will depend on the circuit you chose, so remember to book in advance.

Board the bus back to Aguas Calientes. Take this time to relax and reflect on the incredible sights you’ve just experienced.

Optional Activities in Machu Picchu

  • Climb up to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain* for breathtaking views from above.
  • Another optional activity in Aguas Calientes might include visiting the new local museum or indulging in a relaxing bath in the hot springs.

Train to Machu Picchu

Return to Cusco

Depart from Aguas Calientes on the Expedition Train, heading back to Ollantaytambo. Enjoy the scenic ride as you retrace your steps through the Sacred Valley. Arrive in Ollantaytambo and transfer to your waiting vehicle for the journey back to Cusco (San Francisco square or your hotel).
