Itinerary

Day 1 | Circuit

CUSCO CITY TOUR + INCA TEMPLES

We welcome you at the airport or bus terminal with a personalized sign and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, we begin the City Tour visiting Qorikancha, the most sacred temple of the Inca Empire dedicated to the Sun God.

We continue exploring the ruins near Cusco: Sacsayhuamán, an imposing Inca fortress known as the head of the Puma in reference to the city of Cusco, which was built in the shape of a puma whose head corresponds exactly to Sacsayhuamán; Q'enqo, sacred amphitheater where ceremonies were performed; Puka Pukara, known as the "Red Fortress" for its sunset tones and served as entrance control to the sacred city of Cusco during Inca times; and Tambomachay, the water temple with incredible Inca hydraulic systems.

Return to Cusco. You can choose to stay in the beautiful main square of Cusco or be taken to your hotel.

Day 2 | Circuit

SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS VISIT

Very early (6:30 am) we pick you up from your hotel to begin the Sacred Valley of the Incas adventure. We start by visiting Chinchero, a town that preserves the original Inca layout where you'll see demonstrations of ancestral textiles.

We continue to Moray, a fascinating Inca agricultural laboratory with circular terraces that create unique microclimates. Then we visit the Maras Salt Mines, with more than 3,000 pink salt pools exploited since pre-Inca times. We enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba before exploring Ollantaytambo, a perfectly preserved Inca fortress. At the end of the day, we board the train to Aguas Calientes where we'll spend the night.

Day 3 | Circuit

MACHU PICCHU TOUR - WONDER OF THE WORLD

The most anticipated day! Very early we take the bus that winds up the mountain to reach the City in the Clouds, Machu Picchu. Our professional guide will show you the secrets of this lost citadel discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911.

We'll tour the most emblematic places: the Viewpoint with panoramic views, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana (Inca sundial), the Main Plaza, and the urban and agricultural sectors. After the tour, you'll have free time in Aguas Calientes to have lunch and explore. In the afternoon, we return by train to Cusco and transfer you to your hotel.

Optional Activities in Machu Picchu and/or Aguas Calientes:

• Ascent to Wayna Picchu mountain, Machu Picchu mountain, or Huchuy Picchu, and enjoy impressive panoramic views from the mountain tops
• Visit Inti Punku (Sun Gate), Inca Bridge, or Great Cavern (Temple of the Moon) and enjoy important places in Machu Picchu
• More optional activities in Aguas Calientes: visit the new local museum or enjoy a relaxing bath in the hot springs

Day 4 | Circuit

HUMANTAY LAKE OR RAINBOW MOUNTAIN, VINICUNCA

Choose your favorite Andean adventure. If you select Humantay Lake, we'll hike to this sacred turquoise lake located at the foot of Humantay snow-capped mountain (5,473 masl), a unique spiritual experience in the heart of the mountain range.

If you prefer Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), we'll trek to the famous rainbow mountain with unique multicolored landscapes in the world, where you'll also meet local communities that keep their ancestral traditions alive. Both options include breakfast, lunch, transportation, and bilingual guide.

Return to Cusco for the last night.
