Experience a journey that blends ancient tradition and breathtaking nature. Visit the Q’eswachaka Bridge, a marvel of Inca engineering and UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and explore the stunning landscapes of the Four Lagoons circuit—an off-the-beaten-path adventure deep in the southern Andes of Cusco.
Your day begins early with pick-up from your hotel. As we head south from Cusco, our guide will introduce you to the cultural richness of the region.
Our first stop is the town of Cusipata, where you'll enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast to energize for the day. Then, we continue to Yanaoca, where we’ll visit a curious geological formation—a mini volcano surrounded by towering mountains, perfect for a quick leg stretch and some unique photos.
We then travel to the district of Quehue, home to the remarkable Q’eswachaka Bridge, the last remaining handwoven Inca suspension bridge. Made from ichu grass, this 28.67-meter structure spans the Apurímac River and is entirely rebuilt each June using ancient techniques passed down through generations.
You'll have the opportunity to walk across the bridge, experiencing the strength and resilience of this incredible feat of engineering. Our guide will explain the rituals and traditions surrounding the bridge’s annual reconstruction, which involves four local communities and is deeply tied to the spiritual beliefs of the Andean world, including offerings to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus (mountain spirits).
Next, we head to the Mosoqllaqta viewpoint, where you'll witness the beauty of Pampamarca and Ancascocha lagoons—tranquil waters surrounded by lush landscapes and Andean peaks.
We continue to another viewpoint for panoramic views of Acopia and Pomacanchi lagoons. This lagoon system, rich in flora and fauna, is home to native birds and fish, and offers a peaceful immersion into authentic Andean nature and culture.
We wrap up the day with a delicious traditional lunch back in Cusipata, made from fresh, local ingredients. After sharing stories with fellow travelers, we begin our return to Cusco, arriving around 4:30 – 5:00 p.m.
This tour offers a unique blend of living heritage and natural beauty rarely found in typical Cusco excursions. Unlike crowded tourist sites, you'll explore a side of the Andes where ancient traditions still shape daily life.
The Q’eswachaka Bridge is not only a stunning Inca engineering marvel but also a sacred cultural expression that brings communities together each year through rituals and collective work.
Complementing this cultural immersion, the Four Lagoons circuit delivers tranquil scenery and a refreshing connection with nature, making this journey a perfect combination of history, culture, and landscape.
Don't miss the chance to walk across the last Inca bridge and witness the harmony between tradition and nature. Book your Q’eswachaka & Four Lagoons Tour now and discover one of the best-kept secrets of Southern Cusco.

The Inca Trail with Percy and Iza was absolutely incredible. They both have amazing energy and a deep knowledge of history, which made the experience truly rich and educational. The trail itself is stunning and very well preserved, and Percy and Iza made the whole journey feel welcoming, fun, and engaging. The quality of the food provided was also excellent. We had Chef Julio in our group, and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend Percy and Iza!

Real good time, such a lovely hike, full of history and nature! Our guides Percy and Iza were well good and full of knowledge. The cook Julio works magic, considering he's working with a camp cooker half way up a mountain. And the porters who carry all the extra stuff required to make the trip comfortable, they're machines! All in all well worth doing and can not recommend more.
